Call for Papers

Please join us for EJHIB2015 in Sao Paulo,  Brasil

The  International Symposium on Japanese as a Global Language will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from August 9 through August 13, 2015.

Interested authors are encouraged to submit previously unpublished contributions from a broad range of topics related to for Japanese Language Education including but not limited to the following areas:

  • Japanese Language Education
  • Identity
  • Bilingualism
  • Plurilingual, Pluricultural
  • Heritage Language
  • Culture Education
  • Japanese Language Literature/translation
  • Language policy
  • Intercultural communication
  • Cultural Anthropology
  • Language Education
  • Japanese Linguistics
  • Others

Researchers working in emerging fields of Identity, Heritage Language and Bilingualism are especially encouraged to submit original findings. Authors should refrain from submitting multiple papers on the same topic.

The paper submission deadline  is March 10, 2015 January 30, 2015, at midnight, Eastern Time (New York, USA). Notification of acceptance by April 10, 2015 March 30, 2015.

Presentation

There are 3 ways to present your papers.

1. Paper (6-8 pages)
A 30-minute presentation. It should include time for questions and change over to the next presenter.

2. Panel (10-12 pages)
A 90-minute presentation.(70 min. followed by 20 min. discussion)Three to Four papers are represented on a panel, which also includes a chair and one or two discussants.

3. Poster (2-4 pages)
A 90-minutes presentation. A0-size (width 841mm x height 1189 mm) poster display to which conference participants will visit.

Please note that an abstract and a paper in the Proceedings should be written in the same language as the one used in the presentation. The full papers accepted after the on-site reviewing at the conference will be published in EJHIB2015 Proceedings. Also, accepted papers will be published on the website. Paper Submission using “Easychair”

The submission and review of papers for the EJHIB2015 will be managed through an online conference paper management system called “EasyChair‟ (www.easychair.org).This system gives you, the author, complete control over your submission. You can upload your abstract and check on the review status of your submission.

The submission process consists of two stages: 1) Manuscript Submission. 2) Camera ready Submission. In  stage 1 , our committee members will review your paper and notify you of the result. Only papers that are accepted in stage 1 will be submitted to stage 2.
This guide is intended to support authors during the submission process. It has three parts:

Click “Sign up for an account” and  create your account
2) Submitting The Paper

  1. Sign in using your new or existing username and password.
  2. Fill out the forms to provide citation information, such as author names, title, abstract and keywords. If any of your co-authors have already signed up to EasyChair, you should click Add an Associate to search for them, as opposed to adding their information manually.

Refereeing procedures

  • All papers (other than invited papers) will be refereed by a panel of experts.
  • There are a limited number of presentation slots and only accepted papers will be presented
